Buy tickets as soon as you can today (Aug. 19) from USAirways to Grand Cayman Island at one-way rates of $74 ($117.60 each way including all taxes, fees and extras).
Give a 21-day or more advance notice of travel. Trips are permitted seven days a week, based on sale seat availability.
A number of blackout dates apply. Sale rates are not valid on Nov. 20, 21, 25, 26; Dec. 18-20 and 24-27; March 27, 28, 31 and April 1, 2 on southbound flights. Northbound travel at this rate is not permitted on Nov. 26-30; Dec. 26, 27; Jan. 1-4 or April 1-5 and 8-12.
USAirways serves Grand Cayman Island via one flight connection in Charlotte, N.C.
If you seek a top value stay while on Grand Cayman, divers, couples and families might consider a stay at the Sunshine Suites Resort. It's less than 200 yards from renowned Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach and is next door to Cayman's only 18-hole championship golf course and the island's most posh resort, The Ritz Carlton.
Guest accommodations are new suites, Deluxe suites and One-bedroom suites, each with fully equipped kitchens (cooktop, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, full-size refrigerator, complete cooking and eating utensils). A daily complimentary continental breakfast is served poolside.
Other resort features and amenities include a casual bar and grill, beach chairs and beach towels, and guest-operated laundry. Shops, restaurants, a supermarket and many entertainment options are within an easy walk. Jogging and cycling trails are adjacent to the resort.
Nightly rates for two start from $125 (valid on stays through Sept. 30) in a Studio Suite; $145 in a Deluxe Suite and $155 in a One-bedroom suite. Service charge and government tax is extra.
Another top source for booking affordable tours, activities and condo stays is with Cayman Vacations, I often recommend staring a ticket purchase low-price search at Kayak.com, but this sale seems to be exclusively offered at USAirways.
