A great value-packed getaway package from Georgia's Callaway Gardens will make you forget all those reasons why you can't leave town for a day or so. You know you need "it," so give in and enjoy some time together with family or friends.

On stays now through the end of September, Callaway Gardens offers the "Ultimate Family Getaway" package. It includes accommodations and complimentary activities the whole family can enjoy from $149 a night.

Here's what's included:

Breakfast and dinner for two adults and two children at the Plant Room Restaurant;

One round of golf on the Lake View Golf Course per night of stay;

Admission to the Gardens’ many attractions including the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center (one-half acre conservatory filled with more than 1,000 tropical butterflies), the free-flight Birds of Prey show and John A. Sibley Horticultural Center;

Two hours of bike rental;

Two hours of jon boat rental;

An hour of tennis court time;

Unlimited access to Callaway Fitness Center at the Mountain Creek Inn.

The package rate of $149 per night, double occupancy, is based on stays at the Mountain Creek Inn. Other types and sizes of accommodations — such as one- or two-bedroom cottages, or one-, two-, three- or four-bedroom villas — are also offered on this package at higher rates.

The Callaway Gardens "Ultimate Family Getaway Package" is available for stays now through Sept. 30.

Call 1-800-225-5292 or visit www.callawaygardens.com for more information.

The 13,000 acres of Callaway Gardens include the famous gardens, various types of lodging, a number of restaurants, a full-service spa, shops, fishing spots, swimming beaches and more. It is, more importantly, a preserve –- conserved and untouched land set aside for biological studies and environmental conservation.

Pine Mountain, Georgia is a 60- to 90-minutes drive from the greater Atlanta area.
