The Atlantic Hotel, a luxury landmark on Fort Lauderdale beach, has introduced a promotion to mark the significance of Sept. 9, 2009.

The promotion started at 9:09 a.m. on Wednesday and lasts for 99 hours, or through 12:09 p.m. Sunday.

The “Nines Are Wild” promotion offers a $99 per room credit for guests booking a deluxe, superior or luxury suite. The credit is offered per day and the amount must be used daily.

Travel is valid for the next 99 days, or through Dec. 17.

Turn that $99 credit into a romantic gourmet dinner for two at the on-site Trina restaurant, or use it for a massage or beauty treatment at the full-service Spa Atlantic.

The Atlantic Hotel is a 16-story boutique property offering 124 rooms, including 54 suites. A member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the AAA Four Diamond property features the fifth floor Ocean Terrace with a heated swimming pool, chaise lounges and casual dining.

Under the “Nines Are Wild” promotion, suite rates start from $199. Reservations must be made before Sept. 13.

Some restrictions apply, and there are nine blackout dates: Oct. 28-31, Nov. 1-2 and Nov. 26-28.

For more information, call 866-318-1101, or visit Atlantic Hotel and refer to rate code PKG99.

This hotel has location, location, location. In the heart of Florida's Gold Coast overlooking 23 miles of golden beach, the resort is three miles from downtown Fort Lauderdale and steps from galleries, boutiques, museums, casinos, theaters, restaurants and nightspots. It's just six miles from the Fort Lauderdale Airport; 27 miles form Miami International Airport.

Through Sept. 17, both AirTran and Delta offer $77 one-way sale rates to either southern Florida airport on trips finished on or before Jan. 27. Blackout dates are: Nov. 25, 28-30 and Dec. 18-Jan. 4.
