Thursday, November 20, 2008

Orlando-based AirTran Airways, which has its main hub in Atlanta, said it expects its Thanksgiving traffic to be down a couple percent, said chief executive Bob Fornaro.

Fornaro also said he expects demand to decline more than 2 percent during the current economic downturn and said AirTran does not plan to grow in 2009 and 2010. He said AirTran now has the ability to code-share with other carriers and will likely expand its partnership with Denver-based Frontier Airlines next year.
