Chill out this summer visiting the great cities of Halifax, Nova Scotia; Ottawa or Toronto, Ontario; Montreal or Quebec City, Quebec or Vancouver, British Columbia at the lowest prices of the year!

It’s a mixed bag who’s offering what to where, so use the flexible date search engines at Kayak.com, SideStep.com or Travelocity.com.

All of the sale rates, however, are valid seven days a week (based on availability) through Nov. 19. All require at least a two-week advance notice of travel.

Base one-way rates of $84 to Toronto, $99.55 inclusive, are published by Air Canada and Delta (both with frequent non-stops) and several other carriers.

One-way rates are $100 to Ottawa with the Delta-Northwest; $137.24 including all taxes, fees.

Travel each way to Halifax with Delta-Northwest for $111.60; $148.85 inclusive of fees, tax.

One-way rates to Montreal are $114 on Air Canada, American or Continental. Inclusive rates are $152.13.

Air Canada, Continental, Delta-Northwest and United offer a one-way rate of $124 to Quebec City; $162.56 including all fees, taxes.

A word of caution: Just a couple of these cities carry ticket-by dates of June 5 and June 12. But rather than go by those dates, buy tickets right away or face paying hundreds of dollars more - possibly as soon as tomorrow.
