The deal revolves around a pricing war from the West coast to Australia.
virgin Australia, part of Sir Richard Branson’s mega-virgin brand, has launched non-stop daily flight service between Los Angeles and Sydney. This additional flight gives travelers a choice of three non-stop, trans-Pacific flights — from Air New Zealand, Qantas and Virgin Australia.
Then factor in that Delta Air Lines will enter the scene with daily LAX-Sydney service beginning July 1.
But get in on an airfare deal today from United Airlines that can have you in Australia as soon as this weekend at an inclusive rate at just $1,000 - a price point never seen before today for the current season!
Remember that Australia’s seasons are opposite ours. As we are entering spring, Aussie’s are welcoming the cooler autumn months. Traveling from July 1 puts you smack into winter — although this season is mild compared to ones in New England, let’s say, and more like one in Atlanta.
The round-trip United deal from ATL is $1,000.56 - complete of every tax, fee, and surcharge.
The fare is valid on immediate trips (although U.S. citizens must travel with a valid passport AND Australian visitors visa) and on any day of the week. There are no blackout dates, and no minimum stay requirements. Trips must be finished within a month of departure.
Buy tickets through Monday, March 23. http://www.ual.com
Note: United’s route to Sydney or Melbourne requires a flight connection in Chicago and LAX.
Through Friday, March 20, Qantas Vacations offers land packages from $299 per person which include a five-night stay in centrally located 4-star hotels in Sydney at The Menzies; The Vibe Savoy in Melbourne; the Medina Executive in Brisbane; or the Sky City Hotel in Auckland. The $299 rate is valid on May 1-July 31 stays in Sydney; April 1-Sept. 27 Brisbane and April 1-Sept. 31 Melbourne.
The Qantas land package does not have to be in conjunction with a Qantas flight. Call 1-800-641-8772 or view — http://tinyurl.com/cwjc5a
Note: Round-trip Qantas airfare from LAX to Sydney is about $717 complete of all taxes, fees.
The savings continue as you’re out and about in the land Down Under. One U.S. dollar is buying about $1.5 Australian dollars (and if you go about $2 of New Zealand dollars).
