New Orleans weekend for $159 from Delta

Wednesday, October 01, 2008

Psst. I found an unusual airfare deal today that I suspect is an error. But don’t tell anyone and just buy tickets and enjoy a weekend visit this year - and throughout most of 2009 in New Orleans.

The city is never prettier than in the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Twinkle lights decorate the ironworks across the town and although there might be a nip in the air, it’s a perfect time for long walks, a bit of holiday shopping and much merrymaking (without throngs of tourists).

The airfare deal is from Delta Air Lines to the Big Easy at a round-trip weekend rate of $159 - inclusive of every tax, fee and surcharge.

It’s valid only on Saturday departures and returns on the immediately following Monday or Tuesday.

Now this deal isn’t just for the upcoming weekend - but on any weekend through August 25, 2009 (based on “T” seat availability). That’s the part that I believe is an error. So buy up tickets for upcoming getaways today before this is corrected.
