TRAVELING TO ORLANDO FROM ATLANTA

Arrival: Orlando is about a 6 1/2-to-7-hour drive from Atlanta.

The city is also served by two airports and Amtrak:

Orlando International Airport

Orlando Sanford International Airport

Amtrak — You can reach Orlando by Amtrak, but you would have to travel north to Washington, D.C., first. From there, Amtrak trains make stops at several towns in and around Orlando, including Kissimmee, 15 miles from Walt Disney World.

GETTING AROUND ORLANDO

Transportation: Orlando is part of the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority. You can ride the bus around the city; a one-way pass starts at $2 each, or you can buy a seven-day pass for $16.
