"For my 50th birthday in 2004, I celebrated by snorkeling with giant turtles, sea lions, marine iguanas, etc., in the Galapagos Islands, as well as climbing to the top of Machu Picchu in Peru.

"In November, I went to Buenos Aires and Iguaçu City in Argentina as well as Colonia, Uruguay. The Iguaçu Falls are absolutely fascinating and created the same sense of awe as the Grand Canyon, Great Wall of China, Taj Mahal, Sphinx and Pyramids did for me.

"To commemorate the millennium in 2000, I drove 6,562 miles from Atlanta to the major parks out west."
