AirTran's new route to Tunica, $49 each way

AirTran will add another destination on its route map starting May 6 when it will begin to serve

Tunica, Mississippi from Atlanta.

Tunica is one of the fastest growing resort areas in the country and notable for its gaming opportunities at Bally's Casino, Sheraton Casino & Hotel, Harrah’s Casino Tunica, Horseshoe Casino & Hotel Tunica and Tunica Roadhouse Casino & Hotel.

The city is located in the northwest corner of Mississippi along the Mississippi River and close to the Arkansas state border. Memphis, Tennessee is less than 40 miles to the north.

One-way introductory rates of $49 each way are offered on trips finished on or before June 14. That low rate is valid on trips to Tunica on Sundays and Mondays and from Tunica on Thursdays and Fridays. Slightly higher rates of $79 each way are valid Thursdays and Fridays to Tunica and on Mondays and Sundays to Atlanta. Blackout dates are May 28, 31.
