Police have pictures of the suspect that robbed two Gwinnett County banks earlier this month. But they need the public’s help in identifying the man.
The suspect is described as approximately 25-35 years old and is 5’ feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs 165 to 190 pounds. The suspect has no facial hair.
In both robberies, the suspect has worn a covering over his head with sunglasses, a bandanna over his nose and mouth, and gloves, according to Illana T. Spellman, spokeswoman for Gwinnett police. He was wearing a pullover style jacket and blue jeans, according to police.
On June 1 at 9 a.m., the suspect entered a Georgia Federal Credit Union at 2270 Satellite Boulevard near Duluth and ordered everyone to the floor. The man, who had a handgun, then demanded money from a teller, according to police.
The man fled on a BMX style bicycle with an undisclosed amount of money.
On June 13 at 12:21 p.m., the same suspect entered the Fidelity Bank on 1115 Old Peachtree Road in unincorporated Suwanee, police said.
The man then told the teller he needed to make a withdrawal. At that time, the suspect placed a backpack on the counter and told the teller to put money in the backpack.
The suspect did not present a weapon and then fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The backpack was recovered in this incident.
Investigators are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect’s clothing or has any information about these incidents to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS. Anonymous tips are welcome and the tipster could receive a reward of up to $2,000, police said.
