Dunwoody woman killed in S.C. pickup truck crash

Two people, including a woman from Dunwoody, were killed Friday night in an single-vehicle auto crash in South Carolina.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said that passenger Carolina Hartrampf, 19, of Dunwoody and driver Stephen Phillips, 20, of Charleston, S.C., were killed when the F-150 pickup truck in which they were riding went out of control in Fountain Inn, S.C.

Highway patrol said that the truck was travelling down Scuffletown Road when Phillips ran off the road, overcorrected and flipped the truck.

The highway patrol said Phillips, who wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, was ejected. Hartrampf was wearing a seatbeat. Both died at the scene.

Another passenger in the truck was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
