NOTHING DOING FOR NOW: The Thrashers have eight potential unrestricted free agents on their roster including Mark Recchi, Johan Hedberg, Eric Boulton, Bobby Holik and Steve McCarthy. If nothing is done by July 1, all will become free agents, but Thrashers GM Don Waddell said on Sunday that there are currently no contract talks with any of them.
Goalie Kari Lehtonen is set to be a restricted free agent, but don't expect any contracts finalized soon.

"There are no talks going on right now," Waddell said. "On our current team there's only one restricted and that's Lehtonen. We have a couple unrestricted guys but right now no talks have gone on with any of our players. I think the [current] situation, I don't see a big need just yet. We have a couple weeks here to focus on winning hockey games."
HOLIK ON SUSPENSIONS: Thrashers captain Bobby Holik wasn't surprised to hear that Chris Pronger received only eight games for stomping on Vancouver's Ryan Kesler with his skate blade. Nor, was he surprised to hear that Minnesota's Chris Simon was upset about what appears to be different treatment for different players. Simon was suspended for 30 games after a similar incident.
"They treat every player different, every case differently. There's no standard of enforcement," said Holik of the NHL.
It was the eighth suspension for Pronger, who trails only Simon in that category.
"I have been in that situation — it happens to the guy who plays on the line," Holik said. "When you cool off, you're not really proud of it. I think all of those players feel the same way."
EVENT POSTPONED: Philips Arena survived the weekend storms without any major structural damage, but Sunday's season ticket holder skating event at Philips Arena was postponed due to the hazardous conditions downtown and cleanup efforts. The event hasn't yet to be re-secheduled.
