Florida Gators coach Urban Meyer isn't happy with the local media, and he let one reporter know it after practice on Wednesday.

"Don’t mess with our players. Don’t do it. You did it," Meyer allegedly told Orlando Sentinel reporter Jeremy Fowler. "You do it one more time and the Orlando Sentinel’s not welcome here ever again. Is that clear? It’s yes or no.”

Fowler wrote about the exchange in his "Swamp Things" blog on the paper's Web site. It was something Fowler wrote on Monday that got Meyer fired up, according to the blog.

In a previous report, Fowler quoted Gators' wide receiver Deonte Thompson referring to former quarterback Tim Tebow as not being a "real quarterback." Thompson said it and Fowler reported it, Fowler said.

Whether Thompson meant to insult Tebow isn't clear. But it apparently didn't sit well with Meyer.

"You’re a bad guy, man,” Meyer allegedly told Fowler. “You’re a bad guy.”
