• Last time played: Arkansas lost 23-20 in Athens in 2005.
• Arkansas on offense: The Razorbacks have a deep group of tailbacks, led by senior Michael Smith (1,072 yards rushing in 10 games last season). The starting quarterback is Ryan Mallett, who sat out last year after transferring from Michigan.
• Arkansas on defense: The Hogs were last in the SEC in scoring defense (31.2 points per game) and total defense (375.2 yards per game) last season. Nine of 11 starters are back from that unit.
• Arkansas on special teams: Dennis Johnson had an school-record 905 kickoff return yards as a freshman last season. He started this season with a 91-yard kickoff return for a TD against Missouri State.
• What you need to know: Mallett is undefeated as a starting quarterback in college: 3-0 at Michigan in 2007 (wins over Notre Dame, Penn State and Minnesota) and 1-0 at Arkansas (completing 17 of 22 passes for 309 yards against Missouri State).
• What you might not know: Arkansas has never beaten Georgia in Fayetteville (0-3).
• Coach: Bobby Petrino, 47-16 in five-plus seasons as a college head coach, including 6-7 at Arkansas. He was 3-10 as Atlanta Falcons coach in 2007, resigning with three games left in the season.
