UGA and that school from Atlanta meet again on gridiron
Most of Tuesday’s practice was devoted to work against the scout team, which was emulating Oklahoma State. Wednesday, the Bulldogs will play a practice game — actually, a half — in Sanford Stadium, with the scout-teamers again mimicking the Cowboys.
“I hope tomorrow is one that everybody gets excited about and starts to really feel how close this [opening] game is,” UGA coach Mark Richt said Tuesday. “I hope the scouts — the guys who are representing Oklahoma State — play their tail off and give us a really good look and help us.”
The scout team is using several players to emulate different aspects of Oklahoma State quarterback Zac Robinson’s game: Jonathan Batson, Zach Mettenberger and Vernon Spellman.
