Police did not have information about when or where Jackson hit the car.
Jackson was arrested around 1 a.m. Friday after a police officer was driving along Macon Highway near Milledge Avenue and saw a parked car at Lay's Shell Service Station, the police report said.
Jackson was sitting in the driver's seat. There was also a passenger in the car, the police report said.
The officer discovered that Jackson had an outstanding warrant for hit-and-run of a parked car. He arrested Jackson and took him to jail, the report said.
According to jail records, Jackson was arrested and booked into the jail about 2:30 a.m. Friday. He left about two hours later after paying a $380 bond.
Jackson, 21, is a returning starter for Georgia (10-12, 2-7 SEC). His status for Saturday's game against South Carolina is uncertain.
