One word about NCAA tourney expansion to 96: lunacy
Owens was arrested on east campus, booked into the Clarke County Jail and released about two hours later on $500 bond.
Owens, a redshirt freshman who has appeared in one game this season, is the third Georgia football player arrested in the past six weeks on traffic-related charges. Offensive lineman Vince Vance was arrested for driving without a valid license after being pulled over for running a red light, and backup cornerback Vance Cuff was arrested for driving a motor scooter on a sidewalk with a suspended license.
