What to watch
- Both teams enter the tournament in a slump. Georgia (13-16, 5-11 SEC) lost its last two regular-season games and three of its last four. Arkansas lost its final five regular-season games.
- Arkansas' Fortson was named second-team All-SEC this week by the league's coaches. He scored 27 points in the Razorbacks' 72-68 victory over Georgia on Feb. 3 in Athens. Georgia led that game by 15 points at halftime.
- Arkansas guard Rotnei Clarke, averaging 15.6 points, is hitting 43.5 percent of his 3-point shots.
- Arkansas forward Marshawn Powell, averaging 15.1 points and 6.8 rebounds, made the SEC's all-freshman team.
- Georgia's Thompkins, a unanimous first-team All-SEC pick by the coaches, finished the regular season second in the SEC in scoring and fourth in rebounds (8.2 per game).
- Georgia is the No. 6 seed from the SEC East, and Arkansas the No. 3 seed from the West. Georgia was 1-5 vs. West teams in the regular season, beating only Alabama.
