The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Finally, an afternoon game in Sanford Stadium.

The Georgia-LSU game on Oct. 3 will kick off at 3:30 p.m. and be nationally televised on CBS, the network said Monday.

It will be Georgia’s first home afternoon game of the season and end a three-week stretch of night games for the Bulldogs (Sept. 12 versus South Carolina in Athens, last Saturday at Arkansas and Arizona State in Athens this Saturday).

The LSU game will be Georgia’s first of the season on CBS, following appearances on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and, this week, ESPNU.

LSU (3-0) is ranked No. 7 in the latest Associated Press poll. Georgia (2-1) is No. 21.
