Georgia-Florida at a glance
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
3 keys to the game
1. Tim Tebow’s record run: The Florida quarterback’s 23-yard run on a quarterback draw with 1:32 left in the first half not only broke Herschel Walker’s SEC record for career rushing touchdowns, but built Florida’s halftime lead to a comfortable 24-10 after Georgia had cut the Gators’ early 14-0 lead to 14-10.

2. Again, turnovers: Georgia’s season-long problem with turnovers continued in the second half when Florida intercepted four passes. The first came on Georgia’s first play from scrimmage in the half, when Florida’s A.J. Jones tipped, then intercepted, a Joe Cox pass pass to give the Gators the ball at the UGA 19. That led three plays later to another Tebow score and a 31-10 Florida lead.
3. Again, penalties: While turnovers doomed the Dogs in the second half, penalties undermined them in the first. They had eight infractions for 84 yards in the first half, then only one for three yards in the second.
The numbers game
• 3-17: Georgia’s record vs. Florida since 1989
• 84: Temperature at game time Saturday, the highest temperature at kickoff for a Georiga game this season, topping 81 degrees for the opener at Oklahoma State
Injury report
• Clint Boling (knee): Coach Mark Richt said of his offensive lineman, “I don’t think it is severe.”
• A.J. Green (undisclosed): The wide receiver left the game in the fourth quarter and did not return. Richt said Green “got the wind knocked out of him” and said “I don’t know” if Green also suffered a rib injury.
Etc.
• As expected, Georgia again shuffled its offensive line, starting Clint Boling at left tackle for the first time this season, Cordy Glenn at left guard, Chris Davis at right guard and Josh Davis at right tackle. Ben Jones, the only constant on the line this season, remained at center. It was Georgia’s fifth different starting combination on the O-line this season.
• Sophomore Nick Williams made his first career start, getting the nod at strongside linebacker.
