"I'm fresh," he said. "I'm ready to go."
Green said last week's game was the first he had ever missed on any level with an injury, and he didn't like the experience.
Punishing penalties
Georgia players who are flagged for a penalty against Auburn will be removed from the game, as they were against Tennessee Tech, Richt said Tuesday.
Players were held out for the remainder of the series in which the penalty was incurred last week, but Richt was noncommittal on whether they'll be kept out as long this week. "I don't know about that," he said.
The Gray matter
Richt, who pledged before the Tennessee Tech game that backup quarterback Logan Gray would play at least one series, is making no such promise this week.
"I wouldn't sit here and promise it right now publicly," Richt said, "although we would like to continue to help him grow as a quarterback."
Etc.
The Bulldogs practiced for 2-1/2 hours in a steady rain Tuesday. ... A victory Saturday would give Georgia its first four-game winning streak over Auburn since the 1940s. ... Several players said the team's new goal is an 8-4 regular-season record, which requires winning the next three games. "It's not something we have plastered all over the locker room, but it's ... the best we can do," quarterback Joe Cox said. "We want to be 8-4 and see what happens after that."
