On Sept. 20, 1973, tennis star Billie Jean King beat Bobby Riggs in the Battle of the Sexes in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3 and 6-3.

The match was watched by an estimated 50 million in the United States and 90 million worldwide.

The moive “Battle of the Sexes” with Emma Stone as King and Steve Carell as Riggs will be released on Friday.
