Morehouse came back from a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter, then held on to beat winless Lane 35-33 in Jackson, Tenn.

The Maroon Tigers (5-2, 4-2 in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) trailed 27-14, then scored touchdowns on David Carter’s 20-yard run and a 13-yard pass from William Brack to Achille Hendje to lead 28-27. Olajawaun Gooch’s 81-yard fumble return made it 35-27. Lane (0-7, 0-5) scored with 35 seconds left, but failed on the two-point conversion try.

Carter rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns for Morehouse, which also scored on Charlie Wilson’s fumble recovery in the end zone of a bad Lane punt snap. Hendje had seven receptions for 152 yards.

Albany State 32, Clark-Atlanta 29 (OT): A.J. McKenna’s 14-yard pass to Janell Jones was the game-winner for visiting Albany State. Clark Atlanta had taken the lead on a 26-yard field goal by Joshua Dubois in the first OT possession.

Albany (7-0, 6-0 in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) also needed a 35-yard field goal from Juan Bongarra as time expired to tie the game at 26-26 and send it into overtime.

Clark (3-4, 2-4) came back from a 23-12 deficit behind two touchdown runs from Winston Thompson to take a 26-23 lead with 1:41 left in regulation. Clark also scored on David Grace’s 81-yard punt return and a 43-yard pass from Mark Wright to Krishna Muhammad. Wright completed 7 of 19 passes for 130 yards.

LaGrange 37, Eureka 10: LaGrange scored 30 unanswered points at Eureka, Ill., to win its third consecutive game.

Mario Wallace rushed 13 times for 125 yards and a touchdown, and quarterback Drew Carter completed 16 of 27 passes for 166 yards and two scores.

The Panthers (4-3) trailed 3-0 early before Wallace’s 45-yard touchdown run started a scoring streak that spanned well into the second half. Josh Clinton returned an interception 37 yards for a score, Josh Stripling kicked a 22-yard field goal, and Carter hit Riley Hill (24 yards) and Nick Langley (17) on TD passes before the Red Devils scored again late in the fourth quarter.

Shorter 45, Kentucky Christian 10: The Hawks overcame a sluggish first half to beat winless Kentucky Christian in Shorter’s homecoming game.

Shorter (4-3, 2-1 Mid-South West) led only 12-10 with four minutes remaining in the first half when A.J. Cooley returned a kickoff 78 yards for a touchdown. Josh Hines then returned an interception 67 yards for a 25-10 halftime lead.

The Hawks’ five offensive scoring drives took a total of 12 plays and covered 214 yards.

Antwan Appleton (31 yards) and Cooley (60) scored on long runs in the first half, and Ben Williams completed a 53-yard TD pass for T.C. Jay and rushed 27 yards for another score in the second half. Kentucky Christian fell to 0-7, 0-3.

Georgia Southern 30, Chattanooga 20: Adam Urbano rushed 32 times for 153 yards and two touchdowns as the Eagles downed Chattanooga in Statesboro.

Adam Mora added three field goals for Georgia Southern (4-3), which scored 17 straight points in the second half to turn a 13-13 tie into a 30-13 lead. Eagles quarterback Lee Chapple was 16-of-24 for 132 yards and one touchdown.

The Mocs fell to 4-2 overall.

Bethune-Cookman 34, Savannah State 24: Fred McCaskill scored two touchdowns, including the first of three in the fourth quarter for visiting Bethune-Cookman. McCaskill scored on a 5-yard run with 12:58 left to give the Wildcats (2-4) a 20-17 lead.

After Kurvin Curry scored for Savannah State (1-5), Bethune-Cookman took a 27-24 lead on a 1-yard run by Jonathan Moment with 6:58 remaining. The Wildcats then stopped the Tigers’ on fourth-and-goal at the 1, and later Michael Williams returned an interception 52 yards for a TD with less than a minute left.
