Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson had surgery to repair his torn ACL Wednesday in Houston, according to a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Schefter also reported doctors did not find any additional damage to the former Clemson quarterback’s knee.
Watson, a graduate of Gainesville, Ga., suffered a non-contact ACL tear during practice on Nov. 2 and is most likely out for the rest of the season.
Before his injury, Watson made a convincing case for Rookie of the Year, throwing for 1,699 yards, 19 touchdowns and 8 interceptions in seven games— six as starter.
Watson also rushed for 269 yards and two touchdowns.View full experience
