Woodland-Stockbridge blanks Jackson-Atl.

Woodland-Stockbridge 31, Maynard Jackson 0: A 40-yard touchdown reception by Trey Butler late in the third quarter salted away the win in the Region 4-AAA opener played at Lakewood Stadium in Atlanta.

Jordan Joseph picked off two passes for the Wolfpack (3-1, 1-0), who have scored 107 points in three wins since giving up 75 in an opening-week loss to Class AAAAA second-ranked Lowndes.

Maynard Jackson (0-4, 0-1) was shut out for the third time in four games.
