North Gwinnett 42, South Forsyth 7: C.J. Uzomah had a big night in his first Region 7-AAAAA matchup as starting quarterback, leading North Gwinnett to a decisive win at South Forsyth.

Uzomah, a junior who played receiver for the Bulldogs in 2008, was 16-for-23 for 236 yards and three touchdowns and scored another on the ground, all in a little over two quarters.

The Bulldogs quarterbacks spread the ball around, hitting eight receivers, including three catches each by Cordero Dixon and Brandon Wolfe for 53 and 50 yards, respectively.

North Gwinnett (3-0, 1-0) had 400 yards of offense, including 346 in the first half. The War Eagles (0-3, 0-1) managed just 26 yards in the first half, and didn’t score until a 2-yard rush by Nick Belyew with 55.7 seconds remaining.
