"We haven't really heard from anybody yet," GHSA spokesman Steve Figueroa said. "However, after schools and athletics directors get a chance to take a closer look, I'm sure we'll be hearing from some people on Friday."
The list of schools, divided into five classifications based on enrollment, is the beginning of a tedious process in which the school's athletic programs also will be divided into regions. Until the final vote by the GHSA's executive committee Jan. 14, schools will have the opportunity to appeal both the classifications and the regions.
