Football coaching changes around Georgia

Several coaching changes or hires have taken place or been announced over the Christmas holidays. Let's get you up to date:

- The job of head football coach at Fellowship Christian in Roswell is listed as open by Georgia PrepCountry.com. Terry Luck was 4-6 and 2-8 in his two seasons.

- Wayne County will not renew the contract of Mark Daniel, according to South Georgia Sports Network. Daniel, who won a state title in 2003 at Screven County, was 4-16 in two seasons at Wayne. The 2009 team was 3-7 after three seasons of 1-9.

- Americus-Sumter coach Mark Wilson has resigned, according to the Albany Herald. Wilson, a graduate of Americus High, had a record of 15-27 in four seasons. Wilson told the Herald that he planned to remain at the school through the end of the academic year.

- Telfair County is expected to hire Liberty County defensive coordinator Jeff Daffron to replace Jeff Bowen, Telfair's coach since 2001.
