For the AJC

Marist 40, Chamblee 0: Chamblee stopped Marist on downs on the Eagles’ first possession, but that was about all that went right for the Bulldogs as Marist rolled.

The War Eagles (2-1) converted three first-half Chamblee turnovers into 18 points, then coasted. Sam McNearney put Marist on the board with a 1-yard plunge with 3:38 left in the first quarter. Matt Connors and Andy Perez scored touchdowns, and Justin Moore added a 23-yard field goal for a 26-0 halftime lead.
