Said Phillips, "Those are the big three."
Phillips, in charge of fielding Georgia State's first marching band that will debut next fall, said there is already "a really cool buzz" about the band.
"It'll give us a chance to show how good of a school of music program we have, instead of just recitals and stuff," said Eric Vogel II, a sophomore in the school of music who plays in the basketball pep band and will march next fall.
Phillips doesn't have an idea of how big the band will be, but he'll take as many as he can get.
"Fortunately, we're not bound by a roster limit like the football team," he said. "We can have as many people that are interested."
