Who will win: Georgia Tech or Duke?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The final score was a lot closer than the poll results last week. The Jackets can clinch an ACC title game berth with a win over the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday. How certain are you that it will happen?
These aren't your typical Blue Devils. Duke is 3-2 in the ACC this season, having beaten North Carolina State, Maryland and Virginia in consecutive weeks.
The Duke running game lacks umph. But quarterback Thaddeus Lewis, a four-year starter, is second in the ACC with 2,428 yards passing -- averaging 289.4 per-game -- this season.
Josh Nesbitt did not play in last years' game against Duke in Atlanta. True freshman Jaybo Shaw started in place of an injured Nesbitt and had 230 yards passing on nine completions, all to Demaryius Thomas, who tied a school record with an 88-yard TD catch and run.
The Duke pass defense has shown improvement, holding seven opponents to under 200 passing yards this season.
The Jackets have won the last five games against Duke and 13 of the last 14 meetings dating back to 1995.
