Who will win: Georgia Tech or Virginia Tech?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Eigthty-six percent of voters had no doubt the Jackets would come out victorious over the Seminoles. This week's task might test a fan's loyalty.
The 4th-ranked Hokies have already lost in Atlanta this year -- in the season opener Chick-fil-A game against Alabama at the Georgia Dome. The Yellow Jackets, however, haven't beaten the Hokies at home since 1990.
Tech, ranked 19th in the AP poll, might have more than 1,600 yards rushing on the season to lead the ACC, but it is accomplishing a lot over the air. Junior wide receiver Demaryius Thomas is the only receiver in the ACC averaging more than 100 yards per game --103.3.
The Hokies lost leading running back Darren Evans to a torn ACL, but haven't missed a step with redshirt freshman Ryan Williams, who leads the ACC with 734 yards.
Virginia Tech has won four of the last six meetings against Georgia Tech.
