Last week: Lost to North Carolina, 19-6.

Last time played Georgia Tech: Georgia Tech won 27-0  in 2008 at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Duke on offense: Quarterback Thaddeus Lewis is statistically one of the best in the ACC with a 289.4 per-game average. However, his skill is offset by the team's almost complete inability to run the ball (68.2 ypg, 119th in NCAA). Tech has had success this season stopping the run, but some difficulties in stretches against the pass. Cornerbacks Jerrard Tarrant, Mario Butler and Rashaad Reid will have their hands full with wide receivers Austin Kelly, Donovan Varner, Connor Vernon and Johnny Williams. They've combined for more than 2,000 yards receiving this season out of Duke's single-back, single-tight end, three-wide receiver set. Look for lots of crossing routes this weekend.

Duke on defense: Vince Oghobaase is to Duke's defense like Derrick Morgan is to Tech's. He's the gas in the engine. A huge player (6-5, 305 ) at defensive tackle, Oghobaase has 6.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. He considered leaving Duke for the NFL last season, but decided to return. The Devils run a 4-3 base defense and, in a good sign for Tech, have already given up more than 1,000 yards rushing this season.

Duke on special teams: The Devils haven't returned a kickoff or punt for a touchdown, but have allowed one of each.

What you need to know: Duke's five wins have come against teams that are a combined 14-32 this season.

What you may not know: Duke hosted the Rose Bowl in 1942, the only time the Rose Bowl hasn't been played in Pasadena. It was moved because of concerns for safety during World War II.

Coach: David Cutcliffe, 9-12 at Duke; 53-41 overall
