Tech's Johnson a coach-of-year finalist

Tech coach Paul Johnson was named a finalist for the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award on Thursday.
Johnson is one of 10 coaches up for the award, including 2008 winner Nick Saban of Alabama. He has led the Jackets to a 20-6 record in two seasons.
Other finalists include Texas’ Mack Brown, USC’s Pete Carroll, Temple’s Al Golden, Iowa’s Kirk Ferentz, Cincinnati’s Brian Kelly, Penn State’s Joe Paterno, TCU’s Gary Patterson and Clemson’s Dabo Swinney.
