Obama picks Georgia Tech over Oklahoma State
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
President Barack Obama picks Georgia Tech over Oklahoma State Friday night -- one of the few upsets in the commander-in-chief's NCAA tournament bracket.
Judging by his scribbles, Obama went back and forth between the Yellow Jackets and the Cowboys before settling on 10th seeded Tech. Perhaps he feared the wrath of Tech coach Paul Hewitt, who's spent the past few weeks firing back at critics.
Obama, a fan of basketball who played for his high school in Hawaii, doesn't expect the Jackets to make it past the tourney's first weekend, however. He has #2 seed Ohio State topping Tech on Sunday.
The remainder of the president's bracket is pretty conventional, though one wonders if Obama is making a big push to win Kansas' six electoral votes in 2012. Obama's Final Four: Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky and Villanova. He predicts a Kentucky-Kansas championship, with the top-seeded Jayhawks winning it all.
