The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Georgia Tech won't know for at least one more week whether it will play Clemson or Boston College in the ACC championship game Dec. 5 in Tampa.

Rich Glickstein, MCT Will Georgia Tech face C.J. Spiller and Clemson in the ACC Championship Game? We'll have to wait until next week to find out.

Your take

Who do you think Georgia Tech would rather play in the ACC title game?

The Tigers and Eagles are tied atop the Atlantic Division with two losses each. Clemson defeated N.C. State, and the Eagles defeated Virginia on Saturday to keep it knotted.

Should both teams win next week -- Clemson plays host to Virginia and BC plays host to North Carolina -- then the Tigers will win the spot because they defeated the Eagles earlier this season, and head-to-head is the first tie-breaker.

Georgia Tech defeated Clemson earlier this season in a 30-27 thriller. Tech hasn't played Boston College this season.

What is known is that tickets for the ACC championship game can be purchased on ramblinwreck.com. The No. 7 Yellow Jackets will have an allotment of 14,000 tickets available for purchase.

In addition, tickets for several bowl games that are tied to the ACC can be purchased on Tech's Web site, as well.

Tech has its first bye this week, so it won't resume practicing until Wednesday as it prepares to face Georgia on Nov. 28 at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Tech coach Paul Johnson said he'll likely start breaking down film of the Bulldogs on Sunday and then fulfill some speaking obligations early in the week while the assistants are recruiting.

"That's the way it is," Johnson said.

This week's BCS standings will be released between 7:15-8 p.m. on Sunday. The Associated Press poll will be released at 1 p.m. The AP crowns its own champion at the end of the season.
