Falcons wide receiver Taylor Gabriel (head), cornerback C.J. Goodwin (hamstring) are not practicing Wednesday because of injuries that forced them to leave the loss at the Seahawks on Sunday.

Coach Dan Quinn said Gabriel has entered the league’s concussion protocol. The policy states that, before being cleared to play, Gabriel will be subject to a five-step process that begins with rest and recovery before eventually escalating to football activities.

The Falcons claimed Gabriel off waivers from the Browns on Sept. 5. He’s played 89 offensive snaps in five games while catching eight passes for 107 yards and also has played 38 snaps on special teams.

Goodwin is a core special-teams player with 131 snaps on those units over six games. He’s also played 3 defensive snaps.

Fullback Patrick DiMarco (shoulder) was wearing a non-contact jersey during the portion of practice open to media. The Falcons said he would participate on a limited basis.
