Dream’s Tiffany Hayes named WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month

Atlanta Dream guard Tiffany Hayes was named the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month for her performance during May.

Hayes earned her first Player of the Month title by averaging 19.8 points per game, tied for best in the WNBA with Washington Mystics’ Elena Delle Donne. A six-year veteran of the League, Hayes averaged five rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game during May.

Hayes had 24 points in Sunday’s 78-72 loss to the Washington Mystics.

Sylvia Fowles of the Minnesota Lynx was named the WNBA Western Conference Player of the Month.

Dream guard Layshia Clarendon, who won WNBA Player of the Week honors for her performance during May 31-21, was a finalist for Player of the Week along with Delle Donne, Los Angeles Sparks' Nneka Ogwumike, New York Liberty's Epiphanny Prince, Phoenix Mercury's Brittney Griner and Seattle Storm's Jewell Loyd and Breanna Stewart.
