Quarterback Jon Richt, the son of Georgia coach Mark Richt, will continue his football career at Mars Hill College.
The younger Richt announced last month that he would transfer from Clemson after one season in the Tigers’ program. He chose Mars Hill, which is located in Mars Hill, N.C., near Asheville, over Valdosta State. He also considered Georgia State and Chattanooga.
He played his high school ball at Prince Avenue Christian School in Athens.
He is among five quarterbacks who have committed to join the Mars Hill team this year, according to a list of recruits released by the school Thursday.
