NFL-bound quarterback Matthew Stafford has chosen the same agent as Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.
Stafford, the former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback who is projected as the possible No. 1 pick in April’s NFL Draft, has hired Tom Condon to represent him in team contract negotiations, Stafford’s father, John, confirmed in an e-mail to the AJC on Tuesday.
Condon, of Creative Artists Agency, negotiated Ryan’s six-year, $72 million contract with the Falcons last year.
Condon also represents Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning and San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson, among many others.
Stafford earlier hired marketing agent Alan Zucker of IMG to represent him in off-the-field endeavors, such as marketing and endorsement deals.
