Richt admits this could be it for Moreno, Stafford

Athens — After fielding several questions about Georgia’s seniors, who will be playing their last game in Sanford Stadium on Saturday, Richt was asked if he thought it could also be the swan song for tailback Knowshon Moreno and quarterback Matthew Stafford. The draft-eligible underclassmen are reportedly coveted by NFL scouts.

“I haven’t really thought about it,” Richt said. “Why’d you have to say that? I guess it’s possible. But that’s more of a reflective question than what’s important now.”

Neither Moreno nor Stafford shed much light on it.

Said Stafford Tuesday: “I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet but if it is the last [home game] hopefully I’m going to leave on top.”

Moreno: “I’m definitely not thinking about that right now.”
