Mohamed Massaquoi was happy about his game-changing 78-yard catch-and-run late in the game.
His coaches and teammates were happier.

Georgia flanker Mohamed Massaquoi had a career-high eight receptions for 191 yards and a touchdown.
“Mohamed is a wonderful captain for us, just a great senior leader,” Georgia coach Mark Richt said. “It was great to see him out there fighting like mad, having a big game. He just played so big for us the whole ball game.”
Said quarterback Matthew Stafford: “I’m just so happy for Mohamed. That guy’s a warrior.”
Massaquoi actually had the biggest day of his Georgia career. He finished with career highs of 191 receiving yards and eight catches. It was his second consecutive 100-plus yard receiving game (112 vs. Florida) and was the fifth-best single game performance in Georgia history. Massaquoi’s 2,031 career receiving yards is fifth all-time.
But all anybody was thinking about before the big catch was his two fourth-quarter fumbles.
“I had a quick moment of frustration,” Massaquoi admitted. “I was mad at myself for putting our defense in a bad situation again. But then I was fine.”
Said Stafford: “Right before that play I went over to him to tell him to keep his head up, that I was going to come back to him. He said, ‘I’m good, don’t worry about me.’ Then he does what he does on that dig route. The guy’s amazing.”
Not really, Massaquoi said. If he was really amazing he would have taken his last catch to the house.
“I was dead tired,” Massaquoi said. “I was just trying to keep going. Thank goodness [kris] Durham was down there blocking for me.”
