Is UGA planning a uniform surprise?
Richt says black’s out, but …

Athens — Mark Richt quashed a rumor that Georgia was going to dress in all-black uniforms Saturday. He played coy, however, with beat reporters when the discussion went to red.
“A blackout? No, man, no,” Richt said.
Richt was then asked if the Bulldogs were going to wear their traditional red jerseys.
“Do you really want to know? Don’t you just want to wait and see? Do you really want me to answer that question? You want me to straight up answer that question?”
“Yes,” the reporters said in unison.
“We’re wearing red.”
Richt clammed up when asked if that meant red pants, too.
“We’re going to wear red,” he said with a laugh. “Put that in the celebration category.”
Richt has declined to discuss last year’s end zone celebration.
Track meet?
Saturday’s matchup features the SEC’s two most prolific offenses, led by quarterbacks Matthew Stafford of Georgia and Tim Tebow of Florida, and a bevy of skill players.
For that reason, prognosticators are expecting a high-scoring track meet.
The over/under Friday was locked at 56.5 points. Most money was going on the over.
Richt said you can never be sure.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen,” he said. “If you took both of our offenses’ averages, it’d be somewhere in the 70s [76.2]. But if you went by the defenses, points allowed, it could be in the 30s [32.1]. All I know is anything can happen in a game like this.”
Etc. …
Richt confirmed that tight end Tripp Chandler (shoulder) and middle linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (knee) were on the travel roster and ready to play. Both starters, they’ve missed the past three games. … Former Bulldogs Tim Worley (1985-88) and Troy Sadowski (1985-88) talked to the team Thursday as part of Georgia’s character education program. Worley, a tailback who starred in the 1985 Florida game, recently graduated from substance abuse treatment center. … Florida has blocked three kicks (two punts and a field goal). The last time a Georgia kick was blocked was last season against Tennessee. … Former Georgia stars Eric Zeier and Gene Washington will be inducted into the Georgia-Florida Hall of Fame in Jacksonville today.
