Athens — Kiante Tripp’s brief stint as a tight end is over, at least for now.

Tripp, who opened the season at left tackle and moved to tight end three weeks ago, now is getting his reps at right tackle, where he backs up starter Justin Anderson.

Tripp was shifted to tight end when the position was depleted by injuries. But the position no longer looks so thin, with Bruce Figgins having decided to forego shoulder surgery and play out the season, redshirt freshman Aron White performing well and starter Tripp Chandler expected back from a shoulder injury perhaps in the next couple of weeks.

“That dynamic is a lot different than it was after the Alabama game,” Richt said.

Plus, left tackle Vince Vance’s season-ending knee injury changed the dynamic at tackle.
