Athens — Knowshon Moreno was unequivocal Thursday: He’ll play against Tennessee next Saturday, and his injured right elbow won’t affect his game.

“No worries,” the Georgia tailback said.

The week began with some concern in the Georgia camp that Moreno, who suffered a chipped elbow bone against Alabama last week, might be questionable for Tennessee. By Tuesday’s practice, Moreno appeared on track to play. And after Thursday’s practice, he did his best to end any doubt.

“My elbow is good,” he said. “Oh yeah, I’ll be there [against Tennessee]. I’ll be ready to go.”

In fact, he said he could play this week if Georgia had a game.

The Bulldogs have an open date Saturday and return to action Oct. 11 against the Vols in Sanford Stadium.

Moreno said the injury occurred when “I was blocking and came up and hit someone in the helmet or something like that.”

He has practiced this week in a green non-contact jersey and with the elbow heavily wrapped.
