Richt addresses UGA fullback, kick-return situationsGeorgia football coach Mark Richt said Benjamin Boyd and Justin Fields will start practice on Monday at fullback. The two were shifted from linebacker to make up for Brannan Southerland's absence (he underwent foot surgery in June and could miss as many as five games.)
"Throughout camp, they'll be getting reps there," said Richt, who discussed the changes before the Atlanta Sport Council's College Football Preview Luncheon, where he joined Georgia State coach Bill Curry and Georgia Tech's Paul Johnson to address a crowd of roughly 530 on Monday. "The main thing is to keep Shaun Chapas healthy, keep him fresh, because he will be playing the majority of the fullback position the first few games."

Richt isn't quite sure what he's going to do about Georgia's kick-return game yet after seniors Mikey Henderson and Thomas Flowers departed. The two finished their careers among the school's top 10 punt returners.
Richt said cornerbacks Asher Allen and Ramarcus Brown are the only players with some experience. Allen had 659 yards off 27 returns last season, which was 10 yards shy of the single-season school record.
