Georgia basketball player Rebecca Rowsey will miss the remainder of the season because of a knee injury, coach Andy Landers said on Tuesday.

Rowsey, a fifth-year senior, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee before the 2005-06 season. She is scheduled to have a surgical procedure on Thursday to correct deteriorating cartilage in the knee.

Rowsey, a 6-3 forward from Henderson, Tenn., started 63 of the 100 games she played for Georgia.
