Ex-starting QB quits Ga. Southern

Former starting QB Antonio Henton has decided to leave Georgia Southern’s football team, according to a statement from the school

Henton, a former Georgia high school player of the year, transferred to Georgia Southern after spending two years at Ohio State.

He will have to sit out a year, leaving him with one year of eligibility.

Henton played in all 11 games for the Eagles, and started nine. He completed 156-of-279 passes for 1,852 yards and 15 touchdowns to 12 interceptions. He rushed for 628 yards (3.9 ypc) with nine touchdowns.
