Georgia State football coach Bill Curry has earned his way into the Krystal Lovers Hall of Fame and onto the sides of tiny hamburger boxes across the South.
Curry, a former Georgia Tech, Alabama and Kentucky head coach, was selected after sending ESPN talk show host Mike Golic what he billed as a seven-course meal from the very best restaurant in the South.
Instead of high-end food, Curry sent Golic seven Krystal hamburgers on dry ice. Krystal is based in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Curry’s face and story will be on the side of Krystal boxes in 400 stores in the South starting the week of Feb. 9.
Curry won’t be alone in the Krystal Lovers Hall of Fame. For 2008, Krystal has 15 inductees, including brothers in Houston, Texas, who built a 7-foot scale model of the Washington Monument out of 450 Krystal boxes.
GSU football coach Bill Curry’s mug makes its debut on Krystal packages starting the week of Feb. 9.
